Now we know what was in Palin’s email account.

Not much commentary for today.
Last night when Biden was asked a question, he answered it and gave detail about the answer. When Palin was asked a question, she ignored the question and just started to rattle off whatever was on her notecards.
Her performance reminded me of a bad Powerpoint presentation (Keynote for you Mac freaks!).

Counter-Revolutionaries wield Mighty Pen

South Africa - The ANC President Jacob Zuma and allied Party Leaders were outraged to find a cartoon depicting them gang raping Justitia in a national newspaper, the Sunday Times. The image created by cartoonist Jonathan Shapiro, or ‘Zapiro’, has caused a furor.
It is debatable as to the merit of the cartoon in focussing attention […]

Holy Wolf-Man Wednesday, Batman!

So back at the CAPE convention I had the honor of meeting with and talking to Robert Kirkman, writer and comic creator extraordinaire. He’s behind The Walking Dead, invincible and the Astounding Wolf-Man.
So after chatting him up like all the fanboys do me and my boy Evan slipped him some artwork and our cards, and […]

The Ten Worst Games of 2008

Originally published on GGL Wire 1/22/08.
Well, it’s only 336 shopping days until Christmas. And every year I get started too late on my Worst Games of the Year list. So this time, I’m not procrastinating - in fact I’m getting the earliest possible start.
Here, in no particular order other than alphabetical, are my Ten Worst […]

Three Questions for Dean Haspiel

Few storytellers have as rich a career as Dean Haspiel has experienced before his 40s. As unique as his career may be, his current creative efforts are even more intense and busy. How busy? The guy has five different links for his myriad projects. Here’s his offical bio at present (I’m sure he’ll add […]

I’m From Wall St. And I Am Here To Help You

I am not one of those people who want to shrink government to a size where it could be drowned in a bathtub. That said, I have had more than enough “assistance” from the government on FISA, the Patriot Act, the Schiavo debacle and on and on. I do not need any assistance from the […]

The NeverDigging Story

digg_url = ‘http://digg.com/comics_animation/The_NeverDigging_Story_COMIC’;
Today’s comic is the miracle baby of this comic and this comic. I wonder if I’ve violated any international statutes by doing two “Neverending Story” references withing a 12 month period. I’ll probably get a small fine and slap on the wrist at most.
The current HE server was able to withstand the last […]

Calavera Comics in MoCCA 2008

My friends of Calavera Comics were in the MoCCA Art Festival 2008, where they presented successfully Rudo #1, Rudo: Special Edition and Callinazo #1.
Timothy Callahan comment: Rudo #1, Rudo: Special Edition, and Gallinazo #1, from Calavera Comics. Alexis Ziritt draws like an angry Paul Pope, and the comics from this company are filled with drunken, […]

Jon Favreau on ‘The Treatment’

Earlier this week, “Iron Man” director Jon Favreau discussed his comic book-based hit film on “The Treatment,” the KCRW public radio show hosted by film critic Elvis Mitchell.
Favreau discusses how “Iron Man” - like all his films, including “Swingers,” “Elf” and “Made” - are modeled on the Joseph Campbell archetypes famously detailed in the book […]
